Nortech offer a number of standard Pressing Solutions to suit a range of applications with the full control for Force Feedback and Distance.
When selecting the press tools that are right for your application, Nortech supplies a range of standard and bespoke solutions for your needs. Our press tools are low maintenance, small footprint, robust, cost effective, and suitable for a range of applications. There are many types of press tool that are up for the job, including the following:
Hydraulic
Hydraulic press tools have long been used to shape materials of all types, including wood, metal, plastic and rubber. Using a mainframe, power system and associated controls, our hydraulic press tools utilise the static pressure of liquid to achieve the desired configuration or form. These types of press tool are widely used in manufacturing, powder compacting, scrap baling, ceramic production and laboratory processes.
Pneumatic
Unlike hydraulic press tools, these types of press tool use compressed air to produce the force needed to squeeze, form and press materials. Pneumatic presses are well known for their speed – pneumatic press tools work ten times faster than other types of press tool – but their versatility in factory settings should also be applauded.
Electro-servo
Electro-servo press tools are similar to hydraulic press tools in terms of their structure. Instead of the hydraulic cylinder however, these types of press tool use a roller-screw electromechanical actuator to provide a more compact, controlled design that doesn’t rely on hydraulic fluid. The result is a low noise, ultra-efficient press tool with improved accuracy cycle after cycle.
Air Over Oil
Air over oil press tools are often described as pneumatic intensified presses. They use an air over oil cylinder to ensure the motion and force that makes pressing as effective as possible. These types of press tool provide smooth control and produce far greater force than standard pneumatic press tools.
With a full range of standard and bespoke press tools to choose from, we are your one-stop-solution for all types of press tool, including electro-servo, air over oil, hydraulic and pneumatic designs.
Developed to suit your specific application, our bespoke press tools are the products of years of engineering experience. With research and development ongoing both in-house and across our partner sites, you’re guaranteed to find the innovative press tool you need right here.
As well as being the leading supplier of press tools, we provide a full range of engineered products and services to meet the needs of customers in every manufacturing setting. Our engineers and customer care team are also on hand every step of the way to provide unparalleled support.
